On Time and On Budget (40 Days until opening)
This new facility is on schedule and slated to open in late August, 2010, with the Grand Opening on September 11th (see above). All floors and walls are completed on the first floor and the second floor has all floor topping in place and most walls up. Chair risers in in place and refrigeration is going in next week (August 2nd). Seats will be installed August 9 - 18.

Grand Opening: Saturday, September 11, 2010
Save the date and make plans to come to the new arena's "open house" and opening party. We'll have opening festivities, special entertainment, and skating for everyone. Bring te family for this once-in-a-lifetime event!
Kids First: Youth, Families and the Community benefit
The new arena will feature dedicated ice, year-round (or near year-round ice), 90%+ public use and access, more locker rooms, two public access meeting areas, more concessions, more restrooms and many other features. Take a look at the most current design here.
Home of Dubuque Youth Hockey
The Dubuque Youth Hockey Association (Dubuque Stars) and high school hockey team (Dubuque Devils) will call the new arena its home and enjoy uninterupted ice for the first time in decades. If you are interested in learning more about DYHA, follow this link.
Update: USHL Team to play in new Ice Arena!
The new Ice Arena will be the home of the new Dubuque Fighting Saints junior hockey team. Dubuque will re-join the USHL league with this new expansion team. For more information about the team click here.
